Shinesa is also the developer and creator of the best-selling first of its kind book on enterprise cloud auditing, as well as a supplementary training course available through the O’Reilly learning platform.

Throughout the course of her career, Shinesa Cambric has shown herself to be a strategic thinker, problem solver, and advocate for diversity within tech. She truly believes that a successful career within cyber is within anyone’s reach. In her cybersecurity journey, she has continuously embraced new challenges that required her to stand up or stand out and being willing to champion the need for different perspectives has helped her build a career that has combined in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity and technology well before these fields began to rise in popularity. Shinesa views diversity as necessary to address the challenges of building resilient cyber security and she advocates that since our lives and workplaces are becoming increasingly digital and globally interconnected, incorporating diverse perspectives will only aid us in educating and protecting them. That global and diverse mindset, along with her upbringing in Louisiana, led to the name of her business venture as GleauxbalMinds Consulting, where she offers advisory services to individuals, as well as established organizations, nonprofits and startups looking to uplevel themselves and how they embrace emerging technologies.

In addition to her own books, training courses, and workshops, Shinesa’s professional guidance is featured in the book “97 Things Every Information Security Professional Should Know”, and in the upcoming book “Securing Our Future: Embracing the Brilliance and Resilience of Black Women in Cyber”. She is a winner of the Cloud Girls Rising Star Award, has been named as one of the “100 Global Women in Cybersecurity”, and was featured as one of he 2023 Power Women in a special edition of Top Cyber News Magazine. Shinesa is a native of Louisiana and holds a Computer Science degree from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!). She’s currently based in the Dallas area where she’s a mom of 3 active teens and 2 very active fur babies, and contributes as the training lead for the Dallas chapter of the Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu.
